This Website’s Terms of Use, and any documents or links referred to herein, set out the terms and conditions on which you are permitted to use the website, www.gorenewable.org.uk (the website). By using the website, you agree to be bound by the Website Terms of Use and to comply with them. These Website Terms of Use are effective from December 5 2023.

Please read these Website Terms of Use carefully. We recommend that you save a copy of them for your records, as well as any future versions of them. Your attention is particularly drawn to Clauses 5 Intellectual Property Rights, 9 Age Restrictions and 14 Website Warranties.

1. About Us
   1. Go Renewable is a joint venture partnership website between The MCS Service Company Ltd, registered office: First Floor Violet 3 Sci Tech Daresbury, Keckwick Lane, Warrington, Cheshire, England, WA4 4AB, company registration number 07759366 and The Energy Saving Trust Ltd, registered office: 223-231 Pentonville Road, London, England, N1 9NG, company registration number 02622374.
   2. This partnership website is aimed at increasing in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland the number of installed low carbon energy renewables including heat pumps, solar, biomass, wind and battery storage.

2. You are responsible for others when they use your access to the website
   1. Anybody accessing the Go Renewable website using your computer, device and/or internet must be made aware of these Website Terms of Use and must also agree to be bound by them. If for any reason the individual/s do not agree to these Website Terms of Use, they must not access or use the website, and you must not authorise them to do so.
3. Availability of the website
   1. Access to the website and content is free of charge and is aimed at promoting renewable energies. However, Go Renewable makes no representations and provide no warranties regarding website availability.
   2. Website access is provided on an “as is” and on an “as available” basis. Go Renewable may suspend or discontinue the website (or any part of it) at any time. Go Renewable do not guarantee that the website will always be available or that access to it will be uninterrupted. If Go Renewable anticipates that it needs to suspend access to the website for a considerable period of time, it will try to provide you with prior notice where possible.
4. Website Terms of Use and other documentations
   1. Go Renewable reserves the right to update these Website Terms of Use, its Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy and any other documentation highlighted, as required.
   2. Consequently, any changes made to these Website Terms of Use will apply to your access of the website the first time you do so after any changes have been implemented. You are therefore advised to check this page every time you use the website.
   3. You shall not upload, post, otherwise transmit or provide access through Go Renewables to content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.

This content either belongs to Go Renewable or to the partners whose technology and know-how we are highlighting, unless specifically labelled otherwise. All website content is protected by applicable United Kingdom and international intellectual property laws and treaties.

   2. Any trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos and other branding displayed belong to their respective owners. These third parties may or may not endorse or be affiliated with or connected with us.

      For the avoidance of legal doubt all third-party trademarks, trade names, logos and other branding are all acknowledged.

   10. Information provided about Installers and Contractors is provided exclusively for Consumers to identify potential Service Providers. It is strictly forbidden to skim the Installer and/or Contractor data or use any other method to illicitly steal the data provided. Any data removal will be deemed by Go Renewable as a cybercrime. Go Renewable will use both civil and criminal law to protect the data to the fullest extent possible under English law.
6. Links to the Go Renewable Website
   1. You may link to any pages on the website providing these benefits the promotion of renewables.
   2. Links to the website must be fair and lawful. You must not take unfair advantage of Go Renewable’s reputation or attempt to damage this reputation or those of the joint venture partnership comprising the MSC Service Company and the Energy Saving Trust.
   3. You must never link to the website in a manner that suggests any association with Go Renewable (where there is none) or any endorsement or approval from Go Renewable (where there is none).
   4. Any links should not use any logos or trademarks displayed on the website without the expressed written permission of Go Renewable.

    1. Unless it is with the individual’s explicit consent, you must never send to Go Renewable any personal information which is considered ‘special categories of personal data’. ‘Special categories of personal data’ is information about you or any other person which reveals their racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or which is genetic data, biometric data, information which concerns your or their health, sex life or sexual orientation.
    2. If you intentionally or accidentally submit such information to Go Renewable, you will be deemed to have consented to Go Renewable processing that personal information. In the event of any issues please contact the DPO whose contact details can be found in the Privacy Policy.
11. Liability
    1. Nothing in these Website Terms of Use excludes or restricts Go Renewable’s liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, or for any other forms of liability which cannot be lawfully excluded or restricted.
    2. If you are a business user (i.e. you are using the website in the course of business or for commercial purposes), to the fullest extent permissible by law, Go Renewable accepts no liability for any loss or damage, whether foreseeable or otherwise, in contract, tort (including negligence), for breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the use of (or inability to use) the website or the use of or reliance on any content included on the Go Renewable website.

We may immediately terminate, suspend or restrict your access to all or any part of the Go Renewable platform if you fail to comply with these Terms of Use or if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that you have failed to comply with these Terms of Use; or if we receive a complaint from a third-party concerning misuse by you of Go Renewable.
    2. Any part of these Terms of Use that by their nature are intended to survive, shall survive termination or expiry of these Terms of Use.
14. Law and Jurisdiction
    1. These Website Terms of Use, and the relationship between you and Go Renewable (whether contractual or otherwise) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, English law.
    2. Any dispute, controversy, proceedings, or claim between you and Go Renewable relating to these Website Terms of Use or to the relationship between either party (whether contractual or otherwise) shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England, wherever your residency.

    1. The website is provided on an “as is”, “as available” and “with all faults” basis. To the fullest extent permissible by English law, Go Renewable do not make any warranties, representations or endorsements of any kind, express or implied, as to the service; website content or website security.
