Powered by our market-leading calculation engine and backed by the latest information on all UK properties, Go Renewable gives you accurate results you can trust.

Created by Energy Saving Trust and MCS, with Go Renewable you can rely on our expertise and insights to make the right choice for your home.

How it works

The Go Renewable process is simple and can be completed at your own pace.

  • 1

    Tell us about your home

Answer some questions about your home with our free online assessment. This will take you no longer than 10 minutes to complete. We'll assess your home and show you the renewable technologies we think your home will be suitable for.

  • 2

    Review your options

Once you've told us about your home, we’ll use this information to recommend your renewable energy options, along with estimated installation costs and potential savings. Decide if you want to progress or save your results to come back to later.

  • 3

    Sign up to Go Renewable

Whether you're ready to take the next step or are just looking at your options, sign up to create your Go Renewable hub. You'll need to do this to start the process or to save your home's renewable energy options to come back to at any time.

Please note we'll never share your personal data. For more information, see our privacy policy.

  • 4

    Book your home surveys

When you’re ready, arrange for one of our experts to carry out a professional survey of your home for a one-off fee of £300 (inc. VAT). The results are yours to keep and you’ll also get an updated energy performance certificate (EPC).

Usually, you’d need to get multiple surveys from different installers to quote for the work. This survey is comprehensive and can be used for all your quotes – saving you time and money.

  • 5

    Receive and compare quotes

Get quotes from MCS certified installers in your area directly through Go Renewable. All quotes are free and there’s no obligation to accept. We recommend you receive at least three quotes for your chosen technology.

  • 6

    Book your home installation

Once you’ve chosen a quote, speak to your installer directly within Go Renewable to agree the cost of the work and install your technology.

Professional and independent home surveys

Go Renewable home surveys are designed to assess your home’s suitability for renewable technologies. The surveys look at a wide range of factors to give you accurate, in-depth information on your home. Because they’re so extensive, you can use them to get multiple quotes from different installers.

Surveys are carried out by accredited energy assessors at Elmhurst – the UK’s largest independent provider of energy assessment, retrofit and property professional training, software and accreditation.

Your home survey will be completed within a day and won’t be disruptive to your home. There’s a one-off fee of £300 for each home survey. With it you’ll get accurate and in-depth information on your home, including heat loss and energy efficiency.

What’s included?

  • An updated energy performance certificate (EPC).
  • Heat loss calculations for every room in your home.
  • Recommendations to improve your home’s energy efficiency.
